Show them your royal best on prom night

Let’s be honest – the actuality of being a royal, of being responsible for being the chairperson of numerous charities, the obligations and more – are far less glamorous than a cursory glimpse through the glossy “royalty” or “majesty” magazines belie.

But what bonds the royals together is the sense of being very well put together. There’s a calmness to their demeanor, a quietness to their interactions and even the way they walk is elegant. It’s never hurried or rushed. What we’re trying to say is that being or behaving as a royal (the good behaviour, not the bad) is a combination of exuding a confident and calm exterior, whilst wearing a very well fitted and well-coordinated outfit.

For starters, check out the Sherri Hill prom dresses 2017 collection. There are Sherri Hill dresses for all kinds of prom attendees; this means, you can choose a pageant-style gown, a cute formalized skater formal or something in between.

Royals are never trendy, but they are very fashionable. Many, many large, hardbound, coffee-table sized books were dedicated to Princess Diana and her fashions – from when she was Lady Di, to a newlywed, to an expectant mum, to an unhappy wife, to a fresh and lively, active divorcee.

Again, back to demeanor. For prom, look for dresses that make an ultra chic fashion statement. While it may be tempting to “let loose” at prom, if you are truly trying to affect a comparative to the royals, you’re going to need to suppress the urge to be loud and boisterous (if that’s part of your nature). Instead, you want to smile pleasantly, behave precisely and well, and do not call attention to yourself (no wild dancing or any kind of stimulant!).

Your parents might want to read blogs such as prom safety tips for parents, and they examine such questions as knowing where your teen is going, an open discussion on the possible dangers during prom night, advice for parents to be available throughout the night and (given the blog’s owners) unsurprisingly, the possibilities of hiring a chauffeured car service for prom night. You may want to do this, and combine financial resources with friends.  Even better, you’ll have someone opening the door for you, escorting you into the car and then shutting the door for you!

After all, show them your royal best on prom night!

Love,
Liz
